After triumphal rollout for tax reform, GOP faces the reality of delivering

“I want it to be the right kind of a bill. I don’t want it to be some piece of crap, which we’re so used to around here," said Sen. Orrin Hatch (front). | Drew Angerer/Getty Images The GOP’s tax-reform efforts got a jolt of momentum this week, but Republicans also are getting a fresh reminder of how hard it will be to write a bill that makes it to President Donald Trump’s desk this year. They will have a number of hurdles to grapple with in the coming months, including selling their new plan to the public, fleshing out the policy, wrangling the rank and file and dealing with the myriad competing interests that will deluge the Hill. Then there’s the Senate, the graveyard of Republicans efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare. Senate Finance Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), asked about the biggest challenges in turning the plan GOP leaders released this week into legislation, deadpanned: "Fellow senators. “It’s mostly all

The effort began this week after POLITICO reported that both Jared Kushner and a number of other senior White House officials used private email accounts throughout the year to conduct government business. Of particular interest is Kushner and Ivanka Trump s private email domain, because they still work in the White House, two officials said. Accounts of other White House officials are also being reviewed. The probe could take several weeks or even months to complete, according to one of these people, as officials are searching for all ema

HUDSON, Fla. - We first broke the news yesterday when the ground opened up in the Beacon Woods neighborhood in Hudson, forming a hole in a home's front yard. Since then we've learned that this hole, like many others, may not be covered by sinkhole insurance. The good news is that it doesn't appear that the hole has grown since yesterday. But the bad news is that the neighborhood has several confirmed sinkholes, but not everyone has been able to get them fixed. "It was like a snap of the fingers," said Shirley Bruck, describing the hole that opened up in her front yard. She worries it could threaten her biggest investment and her family's safety. "
